What is the role of education in contemporary societies? How does education contribute to the strengthening of resilience in our societies and how could national and European policies profit from research in education?
The joint European research seminar „Resilient Society: The Contribution of Education“ is dedicated to these and similar questions, and will take place on September 18, 2023, in Palau Macaya, Barcelona, Spain. The seminar is planned together with two other research projects LETS CARE and SCIREARLY, both funded under the same Call, and will take place as a one-day meeting, with a keynote and two sessions. The seminar will start with the keynote „Integration of Learners, well-being, and educational resilience“ presented by Dr. Dragana Avramov from NESET (Network of Experts working on the Social dimension of Education and Training). In the first session, the researchers will present the objectives, aims, and scope of their projects as well as their recent advancements. In the second session, a roundtable discussion will follow to exchange views on strengthening European societies through education. Based on the summary of the discussions, the researchers will develop a joint European Policy Brief with initial ideas for policy and practice.
